Harmony will forever be the power that holds Heather Lynn Smith captive to music; it is this love of harmony which, having gripped her as a young child, has fuelled her passion for music to this day. After undergraduate studies at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY and eleven years teaching Music for Young Children©, she recently completed her Masters in Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Ottawa. She continues to enjoy working with musicians of all ages, adding in 2019 the joy of directing the Nepean Songsters seniors’ choir, performing with La Chapelle de Quebec, and performing with the Ottawa based a cappella octet, OttaVoci. She has been thrilled in her many years as a member of the Ottawa Bach Choir to perform in spectacular venues around the world including Carnegie Hall, Bach’s Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Notre-Dame de Paris, St Paul’s Cathedral in London, and the Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts.
