Karen Frank is a Toronto-based mezzo-soprano who holds a Master’s degree with a focus in Choral Conducting from York University, under the supervision of Dr. Lisette Canton, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music, where she specialized in Classical Piano Performance with Christina Petrowska Quilico, also at York University. In 2022, Karen performed with the OBC at Bachfest Leipzig, and in 2019, she sang at Carnegie Hall with the York University Choir. She has performed with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for several seasons and was a contributor to the 2021 London Handel Festival’s Virtual Messiah. Karen also holds a degree in Performance Dance Studies from George Brown College and she had her professional dance solo debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in addition to singing in their performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide in 2018.
