OTTAWA BACH CHOIR

Celebrating the Art of Choral Excellence with Bach at the Core

Bringing the Timeless Beauty of Choral Music to Life

Founded in 2002 by Lisette Canton, the JUNO Award-winning Ottawa Bach Choir (OBC) presents masterful performances of choral music spanning all historical eras, with the works of J.S. Bach at the heart of its repertoire.

“…you immediately heard the choir’s chief assets: a bright, clear and transparent sound; a springy feel for rhythm; beautifully shaded dynamics; and exemplary diction…”

The New York Times

“What a choir! They deliver tight, chiselled sound, deliciously pure tone, exemplary balance, squeaky-clean vocal counterpoint, flawless German diction, and utterly convincing spirituality.”

American Record Guide

“…staggering and movingly performed…”

Gramophone

“…the choir offers a masterclass in precision and execution, but never at the expense of musicality…”
