Ottawa Bach Choir Board of Directors

The core Board of Directors of the Ottawa Bach Choir is composed of people filling the roles of Chairperson, Secretary, Accounting, Marketing and Communications, Sponsorship and Legal. Other Board members focus on Special Events and Audience Development. We also have a staff of people working behind the scenes to make sure the choir runs as smoothly as possible.

Jennifer Loveless

Accompanist

Jennifer Loveless is a concert organist, concert pianist, collaborative artist, teacher and vocal coach.  She holds a Master’s degree in Organ Performance from McGill University, an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance from Concordia University and an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.  She has studied organ with John Grew, Olivier Latry and Karen Holmes, and piano with Gregory Chaverdian, Eugene Plawutsky, Sandra Webster and William Loveless. In 2006, Jennifer was appointed Titular Organist at Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa. As soloist and collaborative artist, Jennifer Loveless has performed across Canada, England, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic with performances at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, Église de La Madeleine, The American Church in Paris and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Jennifer has been broadcast regularly on the English and French networks of CBC Radio/ Radio-Canada.

Karen Frank

Social Media Manager

Karen Frank employs her design, creative writing, event planning, social media expertise, organizational and interpersonal skills to the position of General Manager for the Ottawa Bach Choir. She was the arts administrator and festival co-founder of New Blue Emerging Dance Works in Toronto, Ontario, as well as working on a variety of freelance arts projects throughout the GTA with ActionCAN Films, The Body Monologues, and the Annex Flea, to name a few. Additionally, she has worked with Sweet Side Design, on various artistic projects and with Liberty Entertainment Group for high profile events throughout the city. Karen holds an M.A. in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music (Piano), and has been a member of the Juno Award winning Ottawa Bach Choir for three years, performing at Bachfest Leipzig, and Carnegie Hall, as well as appearing on their most recent album, Johann Sebastian Bach: Six Motets.

Hannah Lim

General Manager

Hannah brings her communications, event management, organizational, and performance expertise to her roles in the arts. She has served as Director of Communications and Senior Representative for the Music Students Association at York University and currently manages a quartet she performs with, overseeing bookings and ensuring seamless performances for events. Hannah holds a BFA in Music and is in her fourth season with the Ottawa Bach Choir. She has performed at Bachfest Leipzig, at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and appears on the choir’s most recent album, Johann Sebastian Bach: Six Motets.
